Do you work directly with companies or through agencies?
Both. Most work comes through direct mandates with product companies, but I also collaborate with agencies.
What does a typical engagement look like?
Most start with a short call to scope the work. From there, engagements run as time-and-materials or fixed-scope depending on what fits the project. There's no mandatory retainer or minimum commitment.
Can you audit an existing codebase?
Yes. Architecture audits and security reviews are available as standalone engagements - no commitment to a larger project needed. You get a clear written report with prioritised findings and concrete recommendations.
What technologies do you specialise in?
PHP (Symfony), TypeScript (Angular, React), PostgreSQL, cloud infrastructure (Azure, AWS), CI/CD pipelines, and mobile (React Native / Flutter). For most web and cloud projects, the full stack is covered.
Do you work with clients outside Belgium?
Yes. Remote-first. Currently based in Brussels but working with clients across Europe. Timezone alignment within Europe is straightforward; further afield depends on the nature of the work.
Do you work alone or bring in a team?
GOLDBACH IT is Christian Goldbach - a senior solo consultant. For larger projects, trusted specialists can be brought in where needed, but the engagement is always led and owned by one person. No handoffs to juniors.
Do you sign NDAs?
Yes, standard.
